This reminds me of a very popular line from Battlestar Galactica: "All of this has happened before, and all of this will happen again." We humans never learn, I swear. We just repeat the same decisions, and often, don't consider the consequences or the changes (the good or bad changes).
I like the element of fiction with the stark reality of non-fic. Really great work here.
